Beginner Level Korean

Boost your Korean skills with a 50-minute 1:1 lesson that adapts to your level and pace—tailored to your goals. Whether you're an absolute beginner or looking to improve your skills, I offer customized lessons to meet your needs. Beginner-level lessons focus on foundational skills such as basic vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation, and common expressions.

Students enrolled in my lessons will receive homework after each session, along with free Korean language support via email outside of class hours. Please read my policies below carefully. By submitting the form and making a payment, you acknowledge and agree to my lesson policies.

Lesson Rate

Each 50-minute lesson is priced at 40 USD. To reserve your spot, a prepayment of 160 USD for 4 lessons is required.

160USD = 40 USD per session X 4 sessions

This is the price of beginner-level lessons. You can send the form to consult other levels or for test preparation. Additional charges may apply for special requests (test preparation, essay editing, etc.).

Lesson Payment

Upon submitting the lesson request form, I will contact you to confirm your lesson. Following this, you will receive a link to the payment page. Payments can be made using credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Once the invoice is issued, the payment should be made in three days to reserve your session.

Validation

Once payment is made, the 4-lesson package is valid for 3 months. Please ensure that all lessons are utilized within this time frame.

Refund Policy

If you need to cancel any remaining lessons, a transaction fee of 5 USD will apply. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method, as outlined below:

If no lessons have been attended, 155 USD will be refunded.
After attending 1 lesson, 115 USD will be refunded.
After attending 2 lessons, 75 USD will be refunded.
After attending 3 lessons, 35 USD will be refunded.

Please note that a lesson canceled within 24 hours or a no-show will be counted as one lesson. For more details, please refer to the cancellation policy section.

Cancellation Policy

Each Lesson:

I have implemented a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you change or cancel your lesson at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, no fee will be incurred. However, if you cancel within 24 hours of the start time, the full lesson fee will be charged. Therefore, please inform me of any changes or cancellations as soon as possible.

No-show

If a student does not attend the lesson within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time without prior notice, it will be regarded as a no-show. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

Teacher’s Right to Cancel a Class

The teacher reserves the right to cancel a class under the following circumstances:

Inappropriate Behavior by Students
If a student exhibits inappropriate behavior, such as using offensive language, making defamatory remarks, disrupting the class, or failing to comply with class rules, the teacher may terminate the class immediately.
No refunds will be issued for the terminated lesson. Refunds for any unused package lessons will be processed according to the refund policy.

Technical Issues

If technical issues arise on the teacher’s side (e.g., internet outages, or platform errors), the class will either be rescheduled.
In cases where the issue is caused by the student (e.g., poor internet connection, inability to use the platform), the class will proceed as scheduled, and no refunds will be provided.

Unforeseen Circumstances
If the teacher is unable to conduct the class due to health issues, emergencies, or other unavoidable situations, the class will be rescheduled.

Violation of Terms and Conditions
If the student violates any terms agreed upon before the class (e.g., recording the session without permission or sharing class materials without authorization), the teacher reserves the right to cancel future lessons. Refunds will not be provided in such cases.

Late Arrival or No-Show
If the student arrives late or misses the class entirely without prior notice, the class will be treated as completed, and no refunds will be issued. If the teacher is late, additional time will be offered, or the class will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
